MAIMAI was born in 2012 from one of the most important luxury footwear production companies in Italy, Calzaturificio Emmegiemme Shoes. The great competence, the knowledge of Made in Italy, the will to express and communicate it’s own indispensable identity, have given life to a fresh, light and free brand that transforms a contemporary, valuable and international but culturally rooted lifestyle into shoes.

MAIMAI, in fact, combines the global life-style with the local culture of Salento, the wonderful land in Southern Italy where it was born. Its colours,perfumes, shapes and art are the basis of theinspirations of each collection. “Maimai” (i.e. nevernever) is a substantial negation which, welcomed by the brand as a challenge, it is an invitation to believe in you and to dream.
